Full Job Description

The parts room clerk is responsible for the inventory control in the maintenance department. 3rd shift hours from 10:00pm - 6:30am

  • Issued MR parts to maintenance personnel and match up the item in the inventory system to assure that it is correct.
  • Perform daily inventory counts on high use items to physically verify that quantities match with the inventory in the system.
  • Perform a total cycle count each month, giving the manager the documentation.
  • Maintain copies of all paperwork generated.
  • Unload trucks when materials arrive, physically verify inventory received and assure that they are in good condition, if not note on the BOL before signing for the shipment and notify buyer and vendor directly.
  • Stock shelves to maintain order and accuracy.
  • Maintain, cleanliness and organization in the supply room.
  • Must work well with the parts customers within the plant and outside the plant.
  • Must work well with the plant vendors.
  • Must maintain control of the supply room at all times.No one is allowed in the supply room other than a supervisor, lead or the manager.
  • Must notify the supervisor, lead or manager before leaving the supply room for any reason. The supply room must be managed at all times.
  • All parts must be logged on the parts sheet each time an item is issued for the supply room. No one other than the clerk, supervisor, lead or the manager is allowed to sign out any parts.
  • Must meet the expectations of the manager with no less than a 99% accurate inventory.

Requirements

Demonstrate positive two-way communication, fair & consistent administration of company policies, procedures and responsiveness to management.


  • Well organized - attention to detail.
  • Computer literate / data entry
  • Basic math skills for inventory
  • Good communication skills at all levels
  • Able to work in a fast work environment - multitask
  • Experience in manufacturing environment a must.
  • Ensure compliance with all departments, in policies and procedures reporting documentation in a proper & timely matter
