Loss Prevention Team Member

Blackstone Shooting Sports is a state-of-the-art indoor range and retail firearm store located right outside Uptown in Charlotte, NC. Our guests can shop, shoot, train and even entertain.

We are looking for a Loss Prevention Team Member to join our dedicated team. This position will be key in ensuring a safe & welcoming facility and reducing shrink by interacting with Guests and monitoring our security systems. Along with high attention to detail the ideal candidate will also:

• Monitor security cameras and other security devices
• Have a deep commitment to the Blackstone experience for our Guests,
• Be able to address all security and safety concerns
• Analyze all aspects of a situation to formulate the right solution.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Facility & Guest Safety
  • Evaluate Guests' behavior to identify potential safety concerns & security threats
  • Ensure Team Members & Guests never leave a firearm unattended
  • Alert management if unsafe behavior is observed anywhere in facility
  • Perform security reviews & walks
• Loss Prevention
  • Identify security gaps & alert management
  • Identify high shrink items & areas of the store
  • Identify potential theft & alert management
  • Participate in inventory & physical firearm counts
• Guest Greeting & Interaction
  • Greet and thank every Guest as they enter and leave the building
  • Ensure all firearms are cased and secured
  • Follow all process and procedures in relation to addressing Guest safety and security concerns
• Monitor Security Cameras & Sensors
  • Actively review security footage for Loss Prevention & Safety
  • Ensure all security devices are active & functioning properly
  • Test security equipment for proper functionality

What experience is required?

• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Strong decision-making skills
• Computer skills, especially Microsoft Windows
• Proven track record for time and attendance
• Availability to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• A high level of self-awareness, receptivity to change, and integrity
