Archimedes Global is currently recruiting a Logistics and Manufacturing Specialist to join our team in Elizabeth City, NC. We’re looking for a team-oriented individual who has the ability to collaborate with customers and teammates to achieve core client objectives on a daily basis.
Requirements
The selected individual will:
- Conduct detailed studies, research, procurement activities, and analysis to evaluate, integrate, and improve productivity of acquisition-related activities
- Identify and develop methods, plans, and documentation to streamline operating procedures, reports and systems to improve operations, achieve savings, and encourage long-range planning to assure the acquisition activities are integrated with the sustainment activities for system design, development, integration, deployment, testing, and training in a cost-effective manner
- Support air station transition activities as required to ensure minimal disruption to fleet operations
- Transition supply requirements (p/n priority, timing, & quantity) to procurement documentation that is ready for funds obligation, then track the resultant order to receipt at the warehouse or operational unit
- Perform day to day material management with a focus on ordering, tracking, receiving, stocking, redistribution, and shipping to optimize phased transition milestones
- Conduct analysis of supply chain effectiveness and efficiency
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive daily master schedule for Modification (MOD) aircraft, including induction dates, delivery dates, and Minotaur Kit and POD delivery details.
- Analyze and optimize the installation process of Minotaur components, identifying opportunities for relocation to improve accessibility for artisans and facilitate future troubleshooting efforts.
- Facilitate efficient communication and coordination between the MOD line supervisor and relevant stakeholders to ensure timely acquisition and preparation of all Minotaur required documents prior to aircraft arrival.
- Establish and maintain clear communication channels between the hangar deck and yourself to effectively manage Minotaur-related acquisitions and ensure seamless workflow integration.
- Drive efficiency improvements in maintenance operations by implementing strategies that streamline processes, reduce downtime, and enhance troubleshooting capabilities within the MOD environment.
- Manage and maintain the configuration of the HC-144 Minotaur Technical Data Package (TDP), meticulously documenting and tracking revisions for each drawing, both mechanical and electrical.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) by reviewing and validating changes against the TDP, verifying that all required modifications are implemented correctly.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive master tracker to monitor and document revision changes across all drawings within the TDP, ensuring clarity and accountability throughout the modification process.
- Implement a dedicated tracker for ECRs, meticulously documenting each request with detailed explanations of the change, corrective actions taken, and verification of completion.
- Collaborate effectively with engineering teams to resolve discrepancies, ensuring alignment between revised drawings and approved ECRs, thereby maintaining consistency and accuracy in the TDP configuration management.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel to compile detailed daily, weekly, and monthly reports on Minotaur status for ALC and USCG Acquisitions HQ, providing analytical insights and recommendations.
- Budget and monitor manpower/labor hours using Excel, identifying issues and recommending resolutions based on planned versus actual days for artisans on the Minotaur project, leveraging data from Qqest for accurate conversion and analysis.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience required (relevant experience may be used in lieu of degree)
- Active Tier 1 security clearance required
- Depot-level environment experience developing sustainment strategies for aircraft upgrades
- Knowledge of Coast Guard procedures (USCG aeronautical practices as defined in Commandant Instruction Manual CIM 13020.1 (series) utilizing the Asset Computerized Maintenance system (ACMS), Asset Logistics Management Information System (ALMIS), and Asset Maintenance Management Information System (AMMIS))
- Experience creating and maintaining schedules using Microsoft Project and Visio
- Ability to climb several flights of stairs several times a day
- Willing and able to travel for a week at a time, including weekends
