Lead Laravel Developer

Flywheel Technology operates a cloud-based technology platform that helps outdoor brands, agencies, and retailers maximize efficiency and performance.

We are looking for a Lead Developer to help build our platform using the TALL stack (Tailwind CSS, Alpine.js, Laravel, Livewire), AWS, and PostgreSQL. The role requires a clear understanding of our business requirements, translating them into technical specifications, and implementing them on the platform.

This is primarily a remote role, but candidates should live within an hour of Charlotte, NC to facilitate occasional in-person meetings.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain web applications using Tailwind CSS, Alpine.js, Laravel, and Livewire.
• Manage and optimize PostgreSQL databases.
• Deploy and manage applications in the AWS cloud environment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Conduct code reviews and provide mentorship to junior developers.
• Maintain code quality and ensure adherence to best practices.

Required Skills:

• Extensive experience with Tailwind CSS for responsive and modern web interfaces.
• Proficient in using Alpine.js for adding interactivity to web applications.
• Strong knowledge of Laravel for backend development.
• Expertise in using Livewire for building dynamic front-end applications.
• Proficient in designing and managing databases using PostgreSQL.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, and RDS.
• Proficient in using Git for version control.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in an agile team environment.

Additional Skills (Optional but advantageous):

• Experience with integrating third-party APIs and services.
• Understanding of web application security best practices.
• Skills in optimizing application performance and scalability.
