Information System Security Officer, Junior (Secret)

RMC is hiring an Information Security Analyst for the role of Information Security Systems Officer (ISSO) to support our NAVAIR customer in Patuxent River, MD. The selected applicant will perform a variety of Information Assurance and Risk Management Framework (RMF) activities, including but not limited to:

• Serve as an ISSO, performing duties IAW the eMASS ISSO role; providing support to ISSEs, as appropriate
• Assist with preparation/updates of Risk Management Framework (RMF) documentation
• Assist Lead ISSOs with completion of Memorandum for Records (MFRs)
• Review and maintain DON Application and Database Management (DADMS) entries for program-specific software
• Assist with updates to the DoD 8140 Cybersecurity Workforce Program tracker
• Ensure System Authorization Access Requests (SAAR) for new hires and modifications are completed and submitted
• Assist with processing Information Technology Purchase Requests (ITPRs)
• Process and manage Privileged Access Agreements (PAAs)
• Assist with processing requests for ALT tokens

The applicant shall be familiar with the following:

• Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes.
• Cybersecurity/A&A tools (i.e., eMASS, eMASSter, STIG Viewer, SCAP Compliance Checker (SCC), VRAM, and Visio).
• IT systems and subsystems.
• Project management.
• Written and verbal communications.
• Teamwork and collaboration.
• Ability to work on classified systems (i.e., SIPRNet) within secure environments.

Requirements

• An AA/AS degree and up to three (3) years of relevant experience are required. A Junior level candidate is responsible for assisting more senior staff and/or performing functional duties under the oversight of more senior staff.
• A High School diploma/GED and two (2) years of additional experience performing work related to the labor category functional description may be substituted for an Associate’s Degree. An Associate’s Degree plus four (4) years of additional experience performing work related to the labor category functional description may be substituted for a Bachelor’s Degree. The selected applicant must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team in NAVAIR environments. 
• The applicant must meet the certification and clearance requirements established IAW the DoD Manual 8570-1M. The applicant must have one of the following certifications to start:

• Security+ CE
• CAP / CGRC
• GSLC
• CND Cloud+

• An active DoD Secret clearance is required to start.  The applicant may be subjected to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
