Ndustrial is seeking a highly experienced, skilled and motivated Industrial Energy Advisory, Group Manager to join, lead and develop our Energy Advisory and IoT Solutions team. As the Industrial Energy Advisory, Group Manager, you will be responsible for growing and leading a team of energy experts on the Energy Advisory Team while providing strategic guidance and advisory services to our industrial clients around the world. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including Sales, Engineering, Customer Success and Product Development to develop and deliver innovative energy solutions.
The Energy Advisory Team exists to ensure customer success by understanding their goals, crafting tailored work scopes, and providing expertise to enhance value and meet their needs. The Industrial Energy Advisory, Group Manager will be responsible for working with customers and prospective customers to define scopes of work and identify opportunities and use cases that leverage Nsight, our Energy Intensity Platform, to accomplish a customer's energy goals.
During the Engagement Phase of the customer journey, you will review customer data in Nsight, seek to identify savings opportunities, and report on energy use trends in the customer’s facilities. You will also work closely with the Installations Team and Customer Success team to deliver holistic solutions and proactively provide solutions to customer challenges. You will act as a Subject Matter Expert to problem solve, provide resources, identify efficiency opportunities and deliver energy reporting and energy savings reports.
This person will ideally be local to our Raleigh, NC office, however we are open to remote depending on skills and experience relative to the needs of the role and encourage remote applicants to apply.
Responsibilities:
- Build, motivate and lead a team of energy experts to deliver exceptional advisory services to new and existing industrial clients
- Develop and execute strategies to drive the growth of our energy solutions business
- Provide technical expertise in energy management and efficiency to support the development and implementation of energy projects
- Work with customers and prospective customers to define scopes of work and identify opportunities and use cases that leverage Nsight to accomplish a customer's energy goals
- Review customer data in Nsight, identify savings opportunities, and report on energy use trends in the customer’s facilities during the Engagement Phase of the customer journey.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize opportunities for energy savings and optimization
- Consult with clients to understand their energy needs and develop customized solutions
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in energy management and efficiency
- Manage client relationships and ensure client satisfaction
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in energy management or related field working with domestic and international facilities
- Industry certifications such as CEM (Certified Energy Manager) or CMVP (Certified Measurement and Verification Professional) are a plus
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in engineering, energy management, or related field (advanced degree preferred)
- Proven track record of success in delivering energy advisory services to industrial clients
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Ability to travel
- Deep understanding of energy management principles and best practices
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Nice to have experience or background:
- Experience with industrial refrigeration
- Energy solutions experience including metering, energy efficiency, GHG reporting, distributed energy resources
- Utility (electric, gas, water) bills, tariffs, rate structures
