Geometrical Architect - Chassis Architecture
As a Geometrical Architect, you will be part of a dynamic global team, collaborating with different departments.
Specific responsibilities include:
• Perform detailed packaging study and propose concept or design solution.
• Support cross functional packaging meetings and the geometrical work in an efficient way.
• Analyze and propose common solutions that can support all brands to minimize part numbers and maximize common parts
• Verify media routing, propose routing path, and clipping solutions
• Analyze and propose common solutions that can support all brands to minimize part numbers and maximize common parts
• Perform pre-study packaging analysis, present consequences, and propose the way forward.
• Contribute to improve packaging verification process, methods, and tools
• Involve in geometry verification plan (virtual builds, physical builds B/C, DMU structure) to improve CAD maturity & quality
Requirements
Education and Professional Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 1-4 years of product development experience, preferably in class 8 heavy duty truck development
• A firm understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing philosophy and applications
• Complete vehicle and/or Chassis knowledge preferable
• Strong experience with PTC Creo Parametric & Creo view
• The ability to work in cross-functional teams to communicate
• Product Data management experience, a plus if you have experience from Volvo PDM system KOLA
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
