As an Estate Planning Legal Assistant, you will assist in the preparation and management of legal documents related to wills, trusts, and estate administration. Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys in the preparation of estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, and powers of attorney.
  • Manage and organize client files, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Coordinate with clients to gather necessary information for estate planning processes.
  • Conduct legal research as needed to support case strategies and legal advice.
  • Draft correspondence and other documents as directed by attorneys.
  • Schedule meetings and appointments for attorneys and clients, maintaining a well-organized calendar.
  • Facilitate communication between clients, attorneys, and external parties such as financial institutions and government agencies.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in paralegal studies or a related field; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Previous experience as a legal assistant or paralegal in estate planning or a related area is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of estate planning concepts, legal terminology, and document preparation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective client interaction and correspondence.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software applications.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
