Director of Supply Chain

We are seeking a Director of Supply Chain who will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the supply chain operations within our Aerospace MRO division. This role requires a seasoned leader with a deep understanding of supply chain management, aerospace MRO industry standards, and the ability to develop and execute strategies that support our operational and business goals.

Main Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement supply chain strategies that align with the company's goals and enhance operational efficiency. Lead initiatives to optimize inventory management, procurement, logistics, and supplier relationships.

• Operational Excellence: Oversee day-to-day supply chain operations, ensuring timely delivery of materials and components while maintaining high standards of quality and cost control. Implement best practices and process improvements to streamline operations.
• Supplier Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors. Negotiate contracts, manage supplier performance, and ensure adherence to quality and delivery standards.
• Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing supply chain team. Foster a collaborative and results-oriented work environment. Set clear objectives and performance metrics for team members.
• Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize data analytics and performance metrics to drive decision-making and continuous improvement. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare regular reports for senior management.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including engineering, production, and finance, to ensure alignment and coordination across the organization. Address and resolve any supply chain-related issues that impact operational performance.
• Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies. Identify and mitigate risks related to supply chain operations, including disruptions and supply shortages.

Requirements

Professional Experience/Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, engineering, business administration, or a related field. An advanced degree (MBA or Master’s) is preferred.

• Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in supply chain management, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role within the aerospace or MRO industry.
• Skills:
• Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles, practices, and technologies.
• Proven track record of leading supply chain operations and driving performance improvements.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
• Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools (e.g., ERP systems).
• Certifications: Professional certifications such as APICS CPIM, CSCP, or equivalent is highly desirable.
