Director, Cardiovascular Services

Job Summary:

• The Director of Cardiovascular Service organizes, directs, and supervises the functions of the Cardiovascular Service line including the operational oversight of the Cath Lab, Endoscopy, Vascular, and Cardiac Rehabilitation.  
• This includes following policy and procedures, maintaining safe staffing levels, maintaining sufficient supplies and equipment, and managing efficient patient throughput.
• Develops, implements, and manages the department budget.  
• Engages in ongoing quality and performance improvement, invests in lifelong learning for staff professional development and assures employees complete required annual competencies.  
• Maintains own professional growth and development in nursing leadership and required licensure.  
• Communicates important information to the CNO and other Administrative Team members as needed.
• As such, the responsibilities include but are not limited to the following activities: Staff development, evidence based clinical practice; personnel resource/productivity management; fiscal management; patient quality, safety and performance improvement; and regulatory compliance.

Report to: Chief Nursing Officer

Requirements

Minimum Education:  

• Bachelor's Degree. Master's Degree, preferred
• Registered Nurse in North Carolina is required (or compact state)
• 3-5 years supervisory experience in Cardiac Cath lab setting
• 5+ years training, education and/or experience as Cardiac Cath Lab RN
• BLS within 30 days and ACLS within 90 days of hire
