A Bridge to Achievement is seeking a Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) for our Winston-Salem, NC region. We are looking for a BCBA who is passionate about providing ethical, assent-based, evidence-based interventions to autistic children and autistic young adults (ages 2 to 21 years).
The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) plays a crucial role in the assessment, design, and oversight of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services for their assigned caseload. This position assists in the development and maintenance of individualized person-centered plans, supervising and training Behavior Technicians and trainees, implementing Behavior Plans, and ensuring the safety and progress of the participants.

Our services are primarily center-based, with home and/or community sessions if clinically necessary.

We partner with parents to understand their children by identifying their strengths, interests, and learning styles. Using ABA and other evidence-based techniques, our highly-trained clinicians focus on therapies and interventions that use positive reinforcement to teach the children we support to reach their full potential. We then integrate our services in a variety of settings striving to create the most effective learning experience and promote positive change across all aspects of the lives of the children we serve and their families.
Essential Functions:
- Ensure the safety and well-being of participants in all settings
- Serves as the point of contact for communicating with guardians, responsible adults, case managers, behavior technicians, etc. for program needs
- Assists in the administration of skills and functional behavior assessments
- Assists in the development, maintenance and supervision of learner’s’ person-centered plans to ensure they are maximally effective.
- Oversees the implementation of individualized Applied Behavior Analysis treatment plans that target skill deficits in the areas of social, play, communication, safety, and self-help, among others
- Collects, compiles, and graphs data using EMR software; makes data-based decisions regarding learner programs.
- Assists in the provision of written treatment reports
- Overlaps and observes behavior technicians and provides ongoing written and verbal feedback to supervisees
- Completes quarterly BT/RBT checklists and conducts supervision meeting to review scores and feedback
- Provides additional training and support to BTs who are on a Clinical Training Plan
- Attends, leads, and contributes to trainings, team meetings/debriefings/workshops
- Works constructively and cooperatively with professionals from within ABtA and other organizations
- Reviews monthly audits for RBTs and trainees to ensure they are receiving minimum supervision criteria
- Assists in the supervision of trainees/students of ABA seeking national certification
- Adheres to the BACB’s Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts and CASP ASD guidelines
- Closely adheres to all funder/billing guidelines
- Ensures all learners’ documentation and behavior technicians’ service notes and records are completed on time and meet all requirements of all funding sources
- Provides 1:1 and/or group-based Applied Behavioral Therapy in home, community, school and/or center based settings as needed based on agency coverage needs

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's or doctoral degree in Psychology, Applied Behavior Analysis, Organizational Psychology, or a related field required
- Holds and maintains NC (and other relevant) behavior analyst licensure per the licensing board(s) requirements.
- State Behavior Analyst license if relevant/residing outside of NC
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in good standing
- Must be an approved supervisor with the BACB
- Must pass a Criminal background check and health care registry check

Physical Demands:
- Must be able to observe and move with children in their natural environments (e.g. ABtA center, home, school and/or outside or in community)
- Must be able to demonstrate working and playing with children; must be able to sit on floor on ground and move easily in this capacity
- Must be able to perform the following gross motor activities:
- Climbing (e.g. upon playground equipment)
- Bending over (e.g. to assist child with writing or pick up reinforcers off ground)
- Squatting (e.g. to assist child putting on shoes)
- Running (e.g. running through a sprinkler with a child)
- Carrying (e.g. teaching materials, toys, art supplies) up to 15lbs
- Must be able to perform the following fine motor activities:
- Pincer grasp (e.g. manipulation of teaching PECS icons)
- Writing (ex. Filling out paper form with a pencil or pen)
- Using scissors and various craft supplies
- Grasping objects (e.g. keys, door knobs, etc)
- Twisting of hands/wrist or fingers (e.g. tying shoes, fastening a button, using a zipper, etc)
- Must be able to demonstrate working and playing with children; must be able to sit on floor on ground and move easily in this capacity
- Must be able to lift children up to 50lbs
- Must be able to utilize safe non-violent crisis intervention techniques with program participants of all ages (raising arms above head to block, stepping back, reaching behind shoulders, etc)
- Must be able to teach and assist with toileting skills. (eg. changing diapers, lifting on an off toilet)
- Must be able to utilize a company tablet or cellular device (ex. iPad, Samsung, IPhone) to take session note data
- While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard

Compensation Range:
