Flowers of Charlotte has tremendous plans for growth, and we're building a motivated and diverse team. Business hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 6:00 p.m., Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  Shift schedules are created and shared by the General Manager. Must be able to work nights and weekends as scheduled. 

This role reports to the Retail Supervisor. 

What you’ll do 

  • Assist the Retail Supervisor in leading our sales team to ensure excellent customer service and high-quality product offerings.
  • Help in training and supervising sales associates, providing them with the coaching needed to excel.
  • Maintain the retail cooler and ensure all products are appropriately priced and rotated.
  • Support the creation of attractive merchandise displays to enhance the customer shopping experience.
  • Assist in managing inventory levels, ensuring all products are well-stocked and presented.
  • Collaborate on developing and implementing effective sales strategies.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in retail management preferred.
  • Experience in retail or florist operations is advantageous.
  • Proven ability in a supervisory or management role is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Comfortable working in varied temperature settings.

Work Environment

  •  Retail flower shop environment
  •  Fast-paced, deadline-driven
  • Temperature extremes vary depending on store location
  • Chemicals: Seldom (mild detergents or glass cleaner)
