We are currently looking for a motivated Accounting Clerk II with the desire, skills, and experience to become a part of our growing enterprise. The position is for full-time employment.
SUMMARY: This position will support the Controller to perform the full cycle accounting function of Teguar Corporation.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manages Accounts Payable function: Audits vendor bills for accuracy, places and applies vendor prepayments, enters bills into Bill.com, reconciles vendor statements.
- Monitors and maintains accounts receivable aging including collection correspondence and calls as directed.
- Researches problem invoices for resolution; interfaces with vendors, operations staff, and other appropriate staff to reconcile.
- Logs customer deposits, payments and prepayments.
- Assists with credit term decisions using forms and external databases.
- Solicits and manages customer exempt certificates in Netsuite.
- Perform general ledger account reconciliations, reviewing balances for accuracy.
- Prepare month end journal entries.
- Other related duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Associate’s Degree in accounting, business, or finance and 2 years of relevant experience; or a minimum 4 years of experience in lieu of education; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficient in Excel.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
- Working knowledge of Netsuite or other large ERP preferred.
- Effective communication (both oral and written) and interpersonal skills.
- Strong work ethic and eagerness to learn.
