Company is located in the Charlotte, NC area. Prefers on-site but will consider remote if you have a significant demonstrated success in nonwoven sales.  Travel to corporate on bi-weekly basis would be required if remote in addition to customer travel.

VP of Sales & Marketing Role Highlights

The VP Sales and Marketing is accountable to lead all sales and marketing activities for the Company to deliver sustained commercial growth and sales volume.  Responsible for developing the strategic sales plan as measured by the quantity of existing and new products sold in order to meet or exceed budget, profitable customer retention, and true market share growth. The position reports to the President and is a valuable member of the company's executive leadership team.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct, behavior and actions in accordance with company's core values of Caring, Creativity, Determination, Dependability and Teamwork
• Number one accountability is to develop and manage the company's sales growth strategy
• Develop and manage assigned P&L forecast that supports annual company strategic objectives and initiatives
• Design and execute pricing strategies that facilitate achievement of company margin targets
• Design and execute marketing strategies that support growth of all target business segments
• Establish and monitor performance metrics for sales teams
• Work with cross-functional teams to develop and design new business processes, programs and initiatives
• Lead the talent development efforts for the sales team; evaluate the department structure and make up and make recommendations to optimize team productivity and performance.
• Design sales compensation strategies, in collaboration with Human Resources, that drive desired outcomes
• Act as a champion for change within the department and across the company. Drive continuous improvement in all aspects of the accountability areas.
• Ensure direct reports are properly utilizing systems, technology, and policies and procedures prescribed by the company. Provide training or corrective action to ensure these obligations are met.
• Exhibit executive level decision-making, cross-functional teamwork, problem solving, and policy development. Adhere to company's mission, values, standards, policies and procedures. Proactively ensure personal awareness of policies before acting.
• Develop direct reports and department members and hold team members accountable to company standards.  Provide meaningful interaction, coaching, and feedback to team members on a routine basis and during the one-on-one feedback cycle.  Make employment related decisions using performance management process as needed.

Requirements

Qualifications – Required

  • • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
    • 5+ years successful performance in sales leadership for a manufacturing company
    • Demonstrated ability to achieve or exceed sales targets
    • Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma process improvement experience preferred
    • Nonwoven/Roll Good background/experience is strongly preferred
    • Proven sales leadership in one or more of the following markets:
    • Composites
    • Building Materials
    • Automotive
    • Filtration
    • Wall Covering – Home Fashions
