Blue Nile is seeking a highly skilled and experienced VP of Retail Stores to oversee and drive the strategic direction, operational excellence and overall performance of the Blue Nile showroom locations within the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the retail strategy to meet company objectives.
- Identify growth opportunities, including store expansion, market penetration and innovative retail models.
- Monitor market trends and adapt strategies to stay competitive.
- Ensure consistency and high performance across all locations – closely monitoring sales performance in all stores.
- Establish and monitor KPIs to evaluate store performance, including sales, customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
- Drive process improvements to optimize cost efficiency and productivity.
- Build and lead a high-performing retail management team, fostering a culture of collaboration, diversity, inclusion, innovation and accountability.
- Act as a mentor and provide guidance to regional and store managers.
- Champion a customer obsessed culture, ensuring a superior shopping experience across all stores.
- Gather and analyze customer feedback to inform improvements in service and operations, ensuring performance excellence.
- Implement initiatives to drive customer loyalty and retention.
- Manage and oversee the retail budget, including loss & prevention responsibility for store operations.
- Drive revenue growth and profitability through strategic planning and execution.
- Collaborate with finance teams to monitor financial performance and develop forecasts.
- Serve as a key liaison between retail sales and corporate leadership.
- Work cross-functionally with all teams including customer service, marketing, merchandising, supply chain and HR to align on company priorities and enhance the employee experience.
- Represent the retail division in executive meetings and decision-making processes.
- Ensure all store operations are in compliance with company policies, industry regulations and legal requirements.
- Maintain high standard for store appearance, merchandising and operational procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Retail Management or related field
- Proven experience (10 plus years) in retail operations, including multi-unit management, with a strong track record of success.
- Exceptional leadership, communication and interpersonal skill.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze date, develop strategies and execute plans effectively.
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing P&L and budget.
- Innovative mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and customer obsession.
- Results driven with a focus on measurable outcomes.
- Ability to motivate and inspire large, diverse teams.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Adaptability to a dynamic and face-paced retail environment.

Annual base pay range: $250,000 - $300,000. Final pay rate shall be determined and is based on experience and qualifications.
