VP Engineering - Blockchain

Career Renew is recruiting for one of its clients a VP Engineering - Blockchain - candidates need to be based at max 2 hours distance from NY or London.

We're on the lookout for a VP of Engineering to join and help lead our dynamic team. This role is designed for someone who has a deep-seated passion for blockchain technology.

This role is a blend of technical development and engineering / product leadership. We are open to consider candidates more focused in either product or engineering but this person should expect to (and be excited by) wearing a few different hats.

Requirements

Essential Requirements:

Can commute to NYC or London often - should live within 2 hours

Must have early stage startup exp and be scrappy / get stuff done mindset

Exp leading product focused technical teams

Deep crypto (ideally defi) experience

Willing to be hands on when needed and make technical decisions

Key Requirements (not a requirement to meet all of these)

• Ability to lead and contribute to building and maintain Subgraphs for indexing blockchain data.
• Experience with front-end web3 libraries (e.g., web3.js, ethers.js) to enable direct DApp interaction from web interfaces.
• Experience with Integrating oracle systems to fetch real-time data.
• Enhance our development and deployment processes through the use of CI/CD pipelines and containerization technologies such as Docker.
• Develop server-side applications using modern backend frameworks (e.g., NestJs, Next.js), ensuring scalability and maintainability.
