ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a Video Engineer / V1 in the East Williamsburg/Bushwick area as we are looking to scale up our video department to host more complex productions. We are hoping for the person in this position to grow and learn together with us. 


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead installs and setups of video wall components 
  • Operate video switchers with multiple sources and destinations
  • Operate control consoles and video switchers
  • Oversee LED wall setup and calibration
  • Compress, digitize, duplicate, and store video data per event needs
  • Interface with the Artist/Client Production team on run of shows
  • Provide design ideas and solutions during on-site set up and rehearsals
  • Ensure safe and consistent operation of video equipment and rigging tools and instruments
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repair for all video inventory, equipment, and cables 
  • Assist in an organized system for handling day to day tasks and operations within the venue


DESIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years relevant recent video streaming experience in wide variety of event venues
  • Infiled and Unilumin LED video wall experience
  • Media systems and media servers experience
  • Digital video formats conversion experience
  • Content management experience
  • Ability to pay attention, adapt to changes, and function well in a live production setting
  • Exceptional communication skills with internal teams, artist’s and client’s teams, and vendors
  • Required proficiency in the Google Workspace suite, and its applications such as Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail, Drive- including Shared Drives, and Google Groups for seamless team communication. 


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be willing to work long shifts, including nights, weekends, and possible holidays
  • Must be willing to work outdoors (all seasons)
  • Must be able to move, pull, carry or lift at least 50 pounds
  • Must be comfortable working in an environment with moderate to loud noise level


COMPENSATION

The hourly rate/yearly salary for this position will range from $45/hr - $55/hr based on experience.
