Requirements
As a Trading Operations Analyst at Flowdesk, you will collaborate with internal teams, as well as external counterparties and exchanges, and manage the day-to-day operations of our cryptocurrencies trading business. A high-level cross teamwork and engagement with stakeholders such as middle to senior management, Traders and Finance in APAC, EMEA and NA. This is a brand-new role managed by Warren, our Head of Trading Ops, with plenty of opportunity for growth and ownership, and the ability to refine and improve our operational processes.
Responsibilities:
Algorithmic Trading Oversight:
- Monitor and analyze daily the performance of algorithmic trading strategies, ensuring optimal execution and adherence to risk management guidelines.
Trade Settlement and Confirmation:
- Oversee the settlement process for executed trades, confirm trade details with counterparties and resolve any discrepancies to maintain a smooth settlement process.
Process Optimization:
- Continuously evaluate and improve trading processes to enhance operational efficiency and reduce latency in trade execution.
- Collaborate with technology teams to implement automation and streamline workflows where possible.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with internal teams, including traders, developers, and compliance, to address operational challenges and implement solutions.
- Foster effective communication channels with external partners, such as exchanges, to optimize trading relationships.
Market Analysis and Reporting:
- Conduct in-depth market analysis to provide insights into market trends, liquidity conditions, and competitor activities.
- Generate regular reports on trading performance, highlighting key metrics and proposing recommendations for improvement.
- Help design and develop internal tools, dashboards, and automation.
Background and skills
- Degree in Computer Science / Finance / Business / Quant related disciplines
- Graduate with at least 2 years of working experience in Operations, preferably gained from Banking / Brokerage / FinTech industry / Crypto industry.
- Good understanding of financial products, trading lifecycle, database and system architecture
- Excellent skills in requirement analysis and business documentation writing.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, stakeholder management.
- Experience with a variety of technical competencies is desirable, which may include one or more of the following: Python, Flask, Java, C#, SQL, UNIX/Linux, networking, cloud technologies, scheduling/orchestration, etc.
- Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, particularly in fast paced, high-pressure environments.
- Strong interest in trading, financial products and cryptocurrency industry.
- High level in both written/spoken English is required.
