Supply Chain Management Consulting, LLC is a leading consulting firm in the Aerospace & Defense industry, specializing in supply chain optimization. We are currently seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Technical Documentation Specialist to join our team. As a Technical Documentation Specialist, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining technical documentation for our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Create clear and concise technical documentation, including user manuals, installation guides, and system specifications
  • Gather information from subject matter experts and engineers to understand complex technical concepts
  • Organize and structure technical information in a logical and user-friendly manner
  • Edit and proofread technical documentation to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and guidelines
  • Publish and distribute technical documentation to the appropriate stakeholders
  • Update and maintain existing technical documentation as required
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather feedback and incorporate changes
  • Work with document management systems to organize and store technical documentation
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in technical documentation

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, English, or a related field
  • Proven experience as a Technical Documentation Specialist or similar role
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with complex technical information
  • Proficiency in using authoring tools (e.g., Adobe FrameMaker, MadCap Flare, Microsoft Word)
  • Experience with document management systems
  • Knowledge of style guides and industry standards for technical documentation (e.g., Microsoft Manual of Style, S1000D)
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts
  • Familiarity with Aerospace & Defense industry terminology and concepts
  • Experience with graphic and visual design is a plus
  • Knowledge of XML and structured authoring is a plus
  • Working Knowledge of AutoCAD or other computer-aided design software
  •  Knowledge of Electronic Components for RF Microwave applications
  •  Knowledge of coding and scripting languages, such as C++, Python, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript or other program or declarative languages
