Position Overview: We are seeking a synthetic organic chemist (MS level) with 1-3 years of experience to join our team. The candidate will possess a strong background in synthetic organic chemistry and a genuine interest for drug advancement. This role will primarily involve the preparation and analysis of our own drug-like compounds, as well as quality control. Possibility to grow and learn from our multi-disciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

Synthetic Organic Chemistry: Conduct experiments and optimize protocols to prepare hit molecules and perform analytical analyses to support internal research projects. Conduct route design and retro synthesis to optimize synthetic pathways.

Analytical evaluation: Use LCMS, HPLC, and flash chromatography to assess products qualitatively and quantitatively. Interpret data to ensure accuracy and reliability.

Project Advancement: Responsible for experimental execution, with involvement in design and troubleshooting. Must demonstrate adaptability to project progress and generate detailed progress reports. Ability to meet deadlines and to plan accordingly.

Collaboration: Work effectively in a dynamic, collaborative environment to achieve project goals and collaborative efforts. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present results.

Organizational Skills: Maintain a clean and well-organized workspace environment, keeping track of chemical stocks and anticipate ordering needs.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Education: MS in organic chemistry with 1-3 years of relevant laboratory experience in organic chemistry and ideally industry experience. Practical knowledge of any or all the following: organic synthesis, parallel synthesis, and purification.

Technical Skills:

- Proficiency in basic organic chemistry technologies, as well as experience in one or more of the following technologies: LCMS, NMR, HPLC.

- Expertise relevant to small scale compound preparation, and quality control.

- Experience with lyophilization and rotary evaporator is preferred.

- Knowledge of DNA compatible reactions or previous experience with DNA-encoded library (DEL) technology is a plus.

Preferred skills: Interest and/or experience in medicinal chemistry and in-silico drug design/optimization is a plus.
