Please note: This is an unpaid internship. Candidates must be eligible to receive college credit as compensation for this internship. Candidates selected to move forward in the interview process will need to submit proof of eligibility to receive academic credit for their time interning with Wasserman, and will be disqualified if they are unable to do so.
Duties
- Support the Vice President of Talent Marketing Operations
- Prepare expense reports
- Conduct cold calls and marketing outreach as directed
- Create excel spreadsheets and powerpoint pitch decks to organize and conduct marketing outreach
- Review contracts and prepare summaries
- Review and code invoices for payment
- Conduct research on prospective clients
- Various administration duties as assigned
- Applicants must possess a professional attitude while demonstrating initiative and strong communication skills.
- Applicants should have an interest in sports business and sales/marketing as well as
be eager to learn about and contribute to the marketing and endorsement efforts of
professional athletes by cold calling and other communication skills. - Applicants with sales, marketing, business development and cold calls experience are strongly preferred.
Requirements
- Degree currently in progress, preferably majoring in a sports-related field
- Applicants must be organized, self-motivated, passionate and enthusiastic.
- Applicants must possess a professional attitude while demonstrating initiative and strong communication skills.
- Applicants should have an interest in sports business and sales/marketing as well as
be eager to learn about and contribute to the marketing and endorsement efforts of
professional athletes by cold calling and other communication skills. - Applicants with sales, marketing, business development and cold calls experience are strongly
preferred. - Well-developed communication, organizational and time management skills, as well as basic administrative skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment and to manage multiple priorities and strict deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and highly organized
- Displays indications of being loyal and trustworthy with the organization and clients
- Time commitment expectation of 30-40 hours per week
- Preference for applicants that can come into our New York based office 1-2x per week
Must be able to earn college credit for internship
