Full Job Description
We are seeking qualified candidates for an open senior-level Strategic Space Planner position in our Program Management division. This position will require you to work from our client’s office in Rochester, NY.
The Program Management Services Division at LaBella provides comprehensive management services for complex projects and multi-year capital programs. Project teams are established to provide a customized mix of business consulting, project management, financial control and monitoring, administrative, and technical support services.
The Strategic Space Planner to support a team responsible for space programming/feasibility studies, occupancy tracking, move management support, AutoCAD test-fits, and data analysis. As a Senior Strategic Space Planner, you will be collaborating with other departments to wholistically capture program and customer requirements and driving best-in-class solutions. Travel will be required on an as-needed basis. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication, critical thinking, and effective presentation skills to all levels of leadership. Candidate will be responsible for management of multiple high priority tasks and must have strong computer literacy.
Duties:
- Partner with Business Unit (BU) representatives, ability to facilitate discussions regarding requirements (headcount/growth, allocations, adjacencies, special support needs) for office and mixed-use space.
- Interpret customer requests, provide design concepts and AutoCAD drawings for demolition/renovations, and develop scope of work for Facilities Engineering estimates
- Partner with manufacturing and engineering teams to coordinate office and non-office relocations
- Working with site leads to integrate additional sites into Archibus database
- Meet with internal customers to capture requirements / program space based on identified needs
- Maintain an accurate occupancy database through an existing Archibus database, provide reporting to ensure accurate cost allocation through Finance
- Create furniture specification packages for bid based on existing corporate standards
- Implement office hoteling / ‘free address’ for remote and hybrid employees to optimize office space utilization
- Update Facilities drawings in AutoCAD based on renovation projects, with adherence to existing drawing / layer standards
- Partner with manufacturing and engineering teams to coordinate office and non-office relocations
- Working with site leads to integrate additional sites into Archibus database
- Design background preferred, ability to assist in selection of furniture and finishes a plus
Requirements
- Ability to obtain a US security clearance.
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Interior Design, Architecture, or related Facilities field and minimum of six (6) years job-related experience. Alternately, a Graduate Degree and a minimum of four (4) years job-related experience.
- Proficient in space planning, interior design, restacking plans, master planning, space analysis, move management, and AutoCAD drafting. Candidate must be proficient in Excel and performing data analysis. Candidate must also be comfortable working in a database
- Experience with Archibus Space Planning database module, or other Integrated Workplace Management System platforms
- Experience working on Real Estate / on-site utilization evaluations
- Background with comprehensive systems furniture knowledge
- Experience in space chargeback and space allocation tracking
- Experience in space planning for manufacturing and/or laboratory space, with classified elements
- Experience managing projects from conception to execution
- High attention to detail with excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
Salary Range: $85,000-$118,000
The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.
