Full Job Description
Join our dynamic team as a STEM Instructor in our after school program, where we're committed to shaping the future by nurturing the young minds of tomorrow's scientists and engineers. We're looking for dynamic individuals who are equally passionate about learning and teaching, with a flair for engaging young learners. Responsibilities:
- Engage and motivate students from Kindergarten to 5th grade during 80-minute STEM sessions.
- Use a variety of teaching tools, including Scratch, Kodable, LittleBits, Typing.com, Codespark, Wonder Workshop applications, Sphero Dash Robots, and Minecraft.
- Guide students through STEAM activities, focusing on project-based problem-solving and creative game design.
- Document student progress, identify needs, and communicate effectively with the technology program director.
- Foster a vibrant, inclusive, and fun learning environment.
- Maintain a consistently positive and enthusiastic approach to teaching.
- Handle logistics such as equipment setup and space organization.
Schedule:
- Days: Monday-Friday (part-time availability, 2-5 times per week)
- Time: 2:40 PM - 5:40 PM (broken into two sessions: early session 2:40 PM-4:20 PM and late session 4:20 PM-5:40 PM)
- Immediate start available.

Compensation:
- $45-50 per session, depending on experience

Requirements
- Enrolled in a Bachelor’s program
- At least 6 months of teaching experience, preferably with elementary-level students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate young learners.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Math, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 1 year of teaching experience, preferably with elementary-level students.
- Good foundation in computer-based programming and familiarity with educational tech tools.
