Role Overview:

Spark is currently seeking a Senior Analyst, FP&A, to join our Finance team, reporting directly to the VP of Finance. This highly visible role will interact with cross-functional leaders to bring new insights and recommendations in support of achieving the Company’s financial goals. In this role, you'll play a key part in supporting our financial success by providing deep financial insights and analysis to drive strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with business leaders across the organization to analyze financial and operational performance, identify trends, and translate data into actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support the creation and execution of the long-range financial plan, annual budget, and interim forecast cycles.
  • Support development of cash flow forecast ensuring sufficient liquidity to meet working capital requirements and financial obligations.
  • Partner with the Marketing and Product teams to assess the financial impact of customer acquisition strategies and initiatives to drive conversion and user engagement.
  • Perform in-depth analysis of customer acquisition costs (CAC), customer lifetime value, conversion, and other engagement and platform metrics.
  • Prepare financial reports and presentations for senior management, clearly communicating complex financial data and recommendations.
  • Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders across the organization.
  • Participate in ad-hoc financial analysis as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. Master's degree or professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA) a plus.
  • 4+ years of relevant, progressive experience in financial analysis, reporting, consulting, investment banking, or similar roles.
  • Experience with subscription-based business model and cohort analysis preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and translate it into actionable insights.
  • Proven expertise in financial modeling, with experience in building and maintaining dynamic financial models.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly explain financial concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • A collaborative spirit and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Proficiency in BI and/or data visualization tools a plus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

  • This is a full-time remote position
  • Remote team members must live and work in the United States (preferably EST). Approved Remote Locations are Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Utah, Virginia, and Wisconsin.
