Each member’s care is led by a dedicated Chief Medical Officer who collaborates on your behalf with specialists in cardiology, neurology, pediatrics, gynecology, endocrinology, performance and movement, and more. Our exceptional clinicians also work closely with the 60+ members of the Atria Academy of Science & Medicine, top experts in their respective fields who are available for rapid consults, support, and referrals.

Who You Are:

You are a software engineering leader passionate about leveraging technology to transform healthcare. You recognize that healthcare is decades behind other industries and are excited by the prospect of using software and data to deliver the best medical care in the world. 

As our Software Engineering Team Lead / Manager, you will provide technical direction to a team of engineers working to build product experiences to support our members in maximizing their health/lifespan as well as systems and tools to support our clinical providers in guiding their members towards optimal health. 

You have a track record of building complex, robust systems at scale and are excited to grow the software engineering team to support Atria’s global expansion. 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of five software engineers, with plans to grow the team in the near future
  • Work closely with Head of Product to understand business goals and solve problems
  • Participate actively in product requirement discussions and provide feedback on technical feasibility as well as delivery timelines
  • Make architecture decisions and oversee the continued development of Atria’s entire software stack
  • Collaborate with engineers to write code and tackle complex engineering problems
  • Establish engineering processes and technical standards for high quality, secure, scalable software
  • Continuously improve development practices and tools
  • Help prioritize work and drive execution by the software engineering team
  • Monitor team progress, delivery velocity, and code health metrics
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to elevate engineering capabilities
  • Participate in hiring processes to grow a world-class engineering team

Engineering Scope:

  • Member applications (web and mobile) providing access to clinical results, scheduling, telemedicine, content, and health tracking
  • Clinical support applications (web) providing robust access to clinical results, patient health tracking, and AI-generated notes and decision support
  • Care coordination applications (web and mobile) for scheduling and managing complex appointments
  • Event schema and instrumentation to track all activities across the member journey

Salary range: $180,000 - $200,000

Atria requires all employees conducting in person work at its offices to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and submit proof of vaccination before their start date. If you are unable to be vaccinated for medical or protected religious reasons, you can seek a reasonable accommodation.

Requirements

Requirements:

  • BS or Advanced degree in computer science, or equivalent software engineering experience
  • 7+ years of software engineering experience
  • Prior management experience leading engineering teams
  • Expertise architecting complex web and mobile software applications from zero lines of code to production deployment, including setup of engineering and deployment environments
  • Demonstrated strength with translating product requirements into effective technical designs and system implementations
  • Familiarity with and experience implementing best practices for ensuring the security and privacy of user information
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to collaborate cross-functionally audiences
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and navigate in a fast-paced, start-up environment; bias for action
  • Nice to have - healthcare experience
