JOB DESCRIPTION:
Unique opportunity for an experienced Sweater Technical Designer to work in a creative environment and grow with the design team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Independently determine and set all garment engineering standards for product development to final production.
- Arranges and leads cross functional fit sessions.
- Collaborates with Designers and Merchants to understand the design concept/ vision.
- Influence changes as needed to help ensure product fit and delivery goals can be successfully achieved in bulk production.
- Manage tech packs throughout the development and production process.
- Daily communication with teams and overseas office.
- Record fit session comments and ensure plan of action including product status are clearly understood and aligned upon by teams.
Requirements
- 8-10 years sweater technical design experience.
- Strong knowledge in sweater construction, finishing required.
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal).
- Consistently demonstrates strong fit sessions.
- Leverages strong understanding of garment engineering, apparel factory operations.
- Models agility and ability to multi-task and adapt to change.
- Proven ability to independently, consistently and appropriately manage risk at all stages of product development.
- Solution oriented role model.
- Ability to manage and follow through on a task from start to finish within a specified timeline without supervision.
- A trained eye for basic design aesthetic details.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook.
- Adobe Illustrator is plus.
- Must be authorized to work in the US.

This is a full-time, exempt role offering a salary of $100-115k.
