We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Senior Quality Auditor to join our New York City team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and carry out internal H&H project audits for ongoing design and construction projects
  • Work with project auditors to plan, perform and report audits for all active projects
  • Assist the H&H Quality Manager (QM) with updating and improving the company’s quality control and project delivery process based on the observations and findings of the audits
  • Review and update the quality management system as it relates to audits, non-conformance issues, root cause analysis, CAPA, effectiveness checks and communication processes
  • The Senior QA may also be responsible for auditing subconsultants working under contract with H&H and may review subconsultant’s quality control documentation for conformance with the project and contractual requirements
  • The Senior QA may also assist QM with developing technical content, training and coordination of additional engineering staff that will assist with performing auditing activities for a short duration (1 year or less). This group may include younger deputy project managers, new hires or technical staff involved that are involved in Key projects. These additional staff will assist in performing quality assurance audits for projects on a regular basis for all active projects to ensure quality management practices are being utilized and the firm quality goals are being achieved
  • The Senior QA will work with the QM, regional quality liaisons and engineering staff to coordinate additional technical, discipline specific or managerial oversight for supplementary quality control activities
  • Meetings, communication and audit work are anticipated to be performed with a combination of in-person and virtual meetings with various H&H offices, and subconsultant offices
  • Occasional daily travel may be requested and/or beneficial on a case-by-case basis

Quality Audits, Review and Reporting

  • Perform compliance and quality assurance audits as needed for active projects
  • Maintain current knowledge base of firm's quality management systems and approved client and/or project specific quality management plans
  • Develop or update auditor training and operating procedures, related to quality audits and engineering oversight, for approval by the QM
  • Coordinate subconsultant audits and findings with the H&H project manager and QM
  • Provide monthly report of all project quality audits and recommended corrective actions or system improvements
  • Make recommendations for improvement to business or operations processes to improve quality or project delivery

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business management or computer science
  • 10 to 15 years of experience of progressive responsibility in a quality management or QA/QC environment
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001: 2015
  • Technical writing skills and experience preparing technical memos, forms or reports
  • Development, monitoring and updating quality management systems
  • Technical reading comprehension, professional speaking, effective written communicator
  • Ability to lead small teams of co-workers, effective in building professional relationships, mindset of serving others and good social perceptiveness
  • Time management, organizational, efficiency and accountability
  • Desktop computer skills including spreadsheets, presentations, internet navigation, word processing, database application, web-based software, document management systems and forms
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and forms, Teams, file storage systems, database and query software

Benefits

Salary Range- $114,000-$135,000 annually. Salary commensurate with experience.
