This role may be based in Washington DC or New York City.

The Senior Marketing Manager will focus on integrated, strategic marketing of Control Risks’ expertise, solutions and products. The Americas, and specifically the US, is a high-growth market for Control Risks, and the successful candidate will take a creative and intentional approach to growing our brand while simultaneously generating and nurturing a sales pipeline. Working closely with business leaders, the Americas Marketing Director and global counterparts, the Senior Marketing Manager will be responsible for the development, execution and measurement of go-to-market plans across a variety of cross-functional business opportunities.

The Senior Marketing Manager will work closely with business leaders and strategic working groups to translate our regional commercial strategy into go-to-market plans. They will serve as a senior advisor to the business, helping them achieve their goals from a marketing perspective, innovating on pre-existing programs and designing new marketing programs that are repeatable and long-lasting. The Senior Marketing Manager will be the hands-on creator of initiatives and campaigns to maximize brand impact and revenue generation, collaborating across global marketing, sales functions and delivery teams.

Due to the cross-functional design of our business priorities, this role is intended to be generalist in nature, working closely with the Director of Marketing for the Americas to reinvigorate marketing strategy across a number of high-growth, high-potential areas for Control Risks. This role is intended to evolve over time into dedicated support for specific business units. The cross-functional foundation of this unit will be paramount in understanding the collaborative nature of Control Risks and the unique selling points brought to market through the combined expertise, skills, productions and services available within dedicated business units.

The successful candidate will be a self-starter who is eager to take on a leadership position, working across all facets of marketing to showcase Control Risks’ unique capabilities to a variety of buyer groups, including legal and compliance, security and risk and investment professionals. The Senior Marketing Manager will be expected to be comfortable working across all facets of marketing, providing guidance, direction and oversight of all marketing verticals and support teams as they pertain to the execution of their program.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Work closely with the regional business leadership in an advisory capacity. Contribute to our commercial strategies, focusing on the dynamics of our marketplace, our offering, go-to-market approach and brand footprint.
  • Develop and enhance our go-to-market strategy, leveraging our global footprint, the combination of capabilities across the firm and our reputation for quality and breadth of expertise. The strategy should markedly increase brand awareness in a competitive space and enable Control Risks to further penetrate existing client bases and support new client acquisition.
  • Be responsible for content creation across all stages of the sales journey. Work with our specialists to capture their expertise and insights while strongly messaging our value proposition.
  • Be responsible for creating and running compelling and integrated automated campaigns that target key audiences to generate and nurture quality leads.
  • Contribute to the development and evolution of the value propositions and brand footprint globally while placing an emphasis on brand enhancement and go-to-market activities in North America.
  • Support our partnerships with third parties and draw them as a force multiplier.
  • Build productive relationships with industry associations, commentators and trade publications.
  • Work with our Global Marketing Team (media, design, film production, content and digital specialists) to develop and run the campaigns.
  • Track, measure, analyze and refine program activities to optimize impact. Provide both qualitative and quantitative analysis and work with our account management functions to ensure that we are driving business development value from our marketing efforts.

Requirements

Knowledge and experience

  • Extensive experience in B2B marketing, preferably in the professional services space. (This role is particularly well suited for anyone with prior experience marketing to Security and Risk and/or Legal and Compliance customer types.)
  • Proven experience operating at a senior level
  • Successful track record of marketing strong B2B brands and complex product/services
  • Proven track record of marketing program ownership, having designed and executed successful integrated marketing programs
  • Demonstrable expertise in both digital and traditional marketing techniques.
  • Advanced software skills (Microsoft Office), proficiency with CRM systems, email marketing tools; online registrations sites; and finance systems
  • Excellent English-language written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong, collaborative team player

The base salary range for this position in New York City is $125,000-$135,000 per year. Exact compensation offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
