About Bodily
At Bodily, we’re on a mission to transform common but underserved experiences in women’s health. We develop research-driven products that address key physiological transitions—like postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and pregnancy loss—with the same care and attention typically reserved for less personal industries.
Our product lines include transformative intimates, supplements, and personal care items designed to be as effective and functional as they are thoughtfully designed and chic. We believe in empowering women with both the tools and the knowledge they need to feel confident and informed during significant health transitions. Our approach blends clinical rigor with innovative design to meet our customers where they are.
As a growth-stage, direct-to-consumer (DTC) business with a growing presence in wholesale, we’re backed by some of the most notable investors in the space, including Hearst Corporation, Morgan Stanley, and Global Founders Capital.
At Bodily, we’re not just building products—we’re building a movement to support women in ways the market has long overlooked. Join us in creating meaningful change and helping women everywhere navigate life’s most pivotal moments with confidence and ease.
The Opportunity
We’re seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Senior Manager of Production Planning with extensive experience in replenishable soft line goods, ideally in intimates or apparel. This role requires deep expertise in managing production planning and inventory management for both wholesale and direct-to-consumer (DTC) channels. You will play a critical role in ensuring that our lean, agile inventory and supply chain processes support our ambitious growth goals. The ideal candidate thrives in dynamic environments and has advanced skills in demand planning, troubleshooting complex production challenges, and partnering with cross-functional teams to drive results.
What You’ll Do
Production Planning & Inventory Management
- Build and execute inventory plans based on forecast models, ensuring optimal stock levels to meet demand for both wholesale and direct-to-consumer channels.
- Use advanced Excel modeling (SUMIFS, INDEX MATCH, UNIQUE functions) to analyze and plan inventory needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and adjust production plans tailored to the unique requirements of wholesale and DTC channels.
- Recommend Amazon inventory transfers to operations to maintain stock levels of key items.
- Provide SKU-level order quantity recommendations for final POs based on approved forecasts.
- Plan raw material needs for key styles in alignment with production schedules and availability.
- Manage monthly raw material liability reporting to minimize excess inventory and mitigate risk.
Supply Chain Management
- Oversee production team communication with factories and mills, acting as the first escalation point for challenges.
- Partner with production teams to troubleshoot, problem-solve, and rework plans in a dynamic environment.
- Collaborate with production to find solutions that align with raw material availability and capacity constraints.
- Share inventory forecasts with factories to ensure production capacity meets demand for both wholesale and DTC needs.
- Develop and manage SOPs for raw material safety stock with factory partners.
- Ensure timely submission of POs and alignment with production schedules, accounting for holiday impacts.
- Maintain an up-to-date WIP file for cross-functional use and communicate expedited shipping needs when required.
- Partner with factories to uphold contract agreements and high-quality standards.
Strategic Leadership
- Collaborate with the COO and Product Strategy leadership to refine supply chain processes for quick inventory turns and lean on-hand stock.
- Track and analyze supply chain KPIs, including MOH/WOH, lead times, and PO forecast variances, across both wholesale and DTC channels.
- Own landed cost decisions, balancing expediting needs with cost improvements.
- Partner with Marketing leadership to align inventory plans with product launches, reactivations, and campaigns.
Requirements
What You’ll Bring
- Experience:
- 3–5 years in apparel planning and purchasing, with extensive experience in replenishable soft line goods (ideally intimates, but definitely apparel).
- Proven experience managing production planning for both wholesale and direct-to-consumer channels, understanding the unique requirements of each.
- Expertise in partnering with production teams to troubleshoot challenges, rework plans, and find creative solutions based on raw material availability.
- Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (including SUMIFS, INDEX MATCH, UNIQUE functions).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Exceptional project management and communication skills.
- Highly detail-oriented, collaborative, and solutions-driven.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Purchasing.
Benefits
Reports to: COO
Start Date: Immediate
Benefits: 3 weeks PTO, 3 months paid parental leave, equity, medical, dental, and vision coverage
