Our Company: BCI Brands designs, sources, and markets nationally and internationally an extensive range of women's career, casual sportswear, and dresses. Their products are sold through all primary retail distribution levels principally under various trademarks and under private label brand names.
Reporting to: President, Finance & Administration
Position Overview: We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager, HRBP with an understanding of the fashion industry to lead our HR initiatives. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving employee engagement, talent development, and organizational effectiveness. They will collaborate closely with leadership to align HR strategies with business objectives and cultivate a high-performing workplace culture. This role requires a blend of strategic vision, hands-on operational expertise, and a passion for supporting employees in a creative and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives that align with the company's overall objectives and foster a positive workplace culture.
- Partner with hiring managers to define staffing needs and develop comprehensive recruitment plans.
- Lead the hiring process for all levels of the organization, including sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, and overseeing the full recruitment lifecycle.
- Support recurring HR initiatives including– Salary Planning, Performance Management Process, and Talent & Organization Development.
- Manage offboarding & onboarding processes, including handling I9's and conducting orientation.
- Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Update org charts and internal HRIS system with new hires, terminations, leaves, etc.
- Handle employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievances, in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Partner with payroll team to maintain payroll system.
- Act as the liaison between employees and benefits carriers and review all employee benefits plus applicable leave procedures.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Support with implementation and execution of transformational initiatives (reorg’s/redesign of the business).
- Provide consultative support to leaders and associates on policies, procedures, and communications.
- Oversee the end-to-end employee experience - accounting for all aspects of development, retention, and engagement.
- Work collaboratively with the VP, HRBP, and business leaders to improve business results through talent strategies.
- Coach associates on performance management issues and processes; drive end-to-end progressive discipline as needed.
- Provide guidance on development for associates while partnering with key Talent Management specialists.
- Work with I&D leaders to ensure that the company recruits, retains, and grows a diverse pool of talent ensuring an inclusive environment.
Requirements
- Minimum 6-8 years of previous progressive experience in a strategic HRBP role, aligning human resources and business strategies with organizational capabilities.
- Prior experience with compensation strategies, recruitment, and cyclic Human Resources initiatives
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Experience managing employee relations issues and navigating complex HR situations with professionalism and integrity.
- High sense of urgency and proactive decision-making skills in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of relevant employment laws and regulations, including EEOC, FMLA, EEO/AA Laws, FMLA regulations, employment law guidelines
- Solid organizational and time management abilities, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Robust analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and other recruitment software/tools.
- Professional certifications such as PHR or SHRM-CP are a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
The salary range for this full-time, exempt role is between $160-170k dependent upon experience level.
