Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Estimator with a minimum of 10 years of experience in heavy MEP construction to join our team. The ideal candidate will be adept at estimating complex electrical projects, from initial bid preparation through project completion. This role requires a deep understanding of electrical systems and the ability to manage and oversee estimating functions with precision and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed and accurate cost estimates for large-scale electrical projects, including hospitals, wastewater treatment facilities, and other commercial and industrial environments.
• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documents to prepare comprehensive estimates.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to gather information and clarify project requirements.
• Prepare and present bid proposals, including cost breakdowns, schedules, and scope of work.
• Review and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure they align with project requirements.
• Monitor and track changes in project scope and adjust estimates accordingly.
• Maintain and build relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and competitiveness.

Salary Range:

Approximately $150,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical estimating, specifically in heavy MEP construction.
• Proven track record of successfully estimating large and complex electrical projects.
• In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, construction methods, and relevant codes and standards.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and apply technical information.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Proficiency in estimating software and tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
• Be a team player, as this role occasionally requires assisting other staff members.
