Senior Business Development Manager - US
Location: Northeast region; New York, NY to Boston, MA
Relocation: Potentially

Role Description:
This position is a Business Development role within the newly formed and growing BD Lab under Archimed, focusing on driving business in the US market for our portfolio company, Clean Biologics. The company has grown steadily over the years and is experiencing a steep increase in demand in the US for its services and core offerings.
Clean Biologics is an expert in quality control of Biologics, manufacturing of starting materials (Cells Banks & Virus banks), storage of biologics as well as development and validation of customized Bioassay. Clean Biologics offers high quality services according to clients’ requirements in modern laboratories with high quality standards ranging from research to full GMP services. Clean Biologics is based in Montaigu-Vendée, France, established in 2000, and is a leading global CRO GMP certified with FDA approval.
Clean Biologics covers biotech, CDMO and big pharma in the human and veterinary field and supports the development of customer products from pre-clinical to marketed medicines. This is an opportunity to be part of a growing business venture into the US while getting experience with a market-leading private equity firm.
Responsibilities:
- Full governance over the business development efforts across North America, initially focused on the Northeast territory.
- Complete ownership and development of the US customer funnel, KPIs, and revenue targets.
- Lead efforts in presenting and as scientific expert for Clean Biologics at tradeshows, customer events, and site visits. Including managing of key opinion leaders’ panel
- Work closely with the Clean Biologics and BD Lab team to develop marketing strategy and material to drive product / brand awareness.
- Determine the technical needs and provide our solutions to customers to win orders.
- Work along with Clean Biologics to present, negotiate, and close customer confidentiality agreements, proposals, and service contracts.
- Liaison between customer and lab facility for program success and developing and maintaining continued business.
- Provide feedback to our company to improve the quality of our offering and service and the brand.
- Work alongside Clean Biologics team and other BD Lab team members to find synergies with other portfolios and new opportunities for investments.
Candidate Qualifications:
- BS/MS degree in biology, business, or a related field.
- In depth knowledge of biologics, including vaccines, protein, cell and gene therapy, and their manufacturing and quality controls.
- Knowledge in GMP regulations as well as regulatory guidelines requirements (ICH, USP, EP)
- 3+ years’ experience in Business Development, Sales, or quality controls of Biologics with a demonstrated track record of success, driving achievement of revenue growth targets and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- An established network of contacts within Biologics industry.
- Talent for building key customer relationships with the capability to educate and demonstrate technical value propositions.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment with a high aptitude for learning technical and scientific information.
- Highly independent worker with the desire to contribute to the team.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- The candidate must be willing and able to travel for customer visits up to 50% of the time (excluding regular travel to the BD Lab office in NYC, which is required at a minimum of 2 days every other week)
Compensation: Competitive base salary ($100,000.00 - $150,000.00 annually) with the opportunity for annual incentives (e.g., bonus, commission)
