Senior Backend Engineer

Singuli, Inc. is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to contribute to the development and improvement of our inventory optimization platform. As a Senior Software Engineer you are expected to have a strong understanding of scalable and reliable systems that can handle large amounts of data without breaking a sweat. We process 100s of millions of messages per month and generate terabytes of forecasts.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with other engineering, data science and product teams to drive improvements in Singuli's platform
• Write clean, efficient, and reliable code with a focus on maintainability and scalability
• Design and implement RESTful APIs using modern best practices
• Help build and maintain highly available and scalable cloud infrastructure
• Ensure high code quality and automated testing for all codebases
• Monitor and troubleshoot production issues and provide support, as necessary
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to other team members

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or equivalent
• At least 5 years of experience in backend development
• Strong experience with Python, Node.js, Ruby, or similar programming languages
• Experience with cloud-based services such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Knowledge of web architectures and RESTful APIs
• Familiarity with container technologies, such as Docker or Kubernetes
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment with excellent communication skills
• Experience working on SaaS or similar software platforms is a plus.
• Candidates must be located in the NY Metro area. This is a hybrid role with 2-3 days/week in office.
