R2Net is a diamond bridal jewelry company with a technology soul. R2Net Inc. is an innovative technology company that provides e-commerce and supply chain platforms to connect the entire span of the diamond industry’s ecosystem, including manufacturers, retailers and consumers. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Accounting Team as a Senior Accounting Manager.

About the Role
 

The Senior Accounting Manager will oversee the accounts payable (AP) operations for R2Net and Blue Nile, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and expense reports. Reporting directly to the Controller, this role is a blend of strategic leadership, operational management, and process improvement. The ideal candidate will manage the AP team, implement best practices, and leverage technology to optimize efficiency and compliance with company policies and financial regulations.

In addition to managing AP processes, this role will take ownership of key financial operations across multiple offices, ensuring strong relationships with internal teams, senior leadership, and external vendors. The Senior Accounting Manager will also play a critical role in various special projects, contributing to the company’s smooth financial operations and growth.

Responsibilities
 

Leadership & Operations:

  • Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and general accounting, while fostering team professional growth.
  • Collaborate with the Controller to ensure financial accuracy and timely completion of accounting activities.
     

Process Optimization:

  • Review reconciliations and drive process improvements, ensuring proper documentation and support.
  • Lead automation and tooling initiatives to streamline workflows and minimize manual processes.
  • Develop a deep understanding of systems and transaction flows to ensure accurate accounting records.
     

Vendor and Payment Management:

  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and tax requirements for all payments.
  • Monitor AP Aging reports to ensure timely vendor payments, fostering strong vendor alliances.
  • Manage relationships with payment processors, gateways, and third-party vendors to optimize performance and costs.
  • Negotiate contracts and service-level agreements (SLAs) to secure high-quality service and compliance.
     

Reporting & Analysis:

  • Prepare and analyze AP reports for senior management, highlighting key trends and actionable insights.
  • Lead the design and optimization of payment systems to support diverse methods (e.g., credit/debit cards, digital wallets, ACH, BNPL).
     

Compliance & Controls:

  • Monitor internal controls, evaluate their effectiveness, and document procedures.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing accurate and timely documentation.
     

Special Projects:

  • Drive strategic initiatives and participate in cross-functional projects as needed to support organizational goals.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA certification preferred).
  • Experience: 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles in medium to large organizations (revenue of $500M+ preferred).
  • Technical Proficiency: Extensive experience with U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls. Proficiency in accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Leadership: Proven success in managing and developing accounting teams.
  • Detail-Oriented: Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Strong ability to work across teams and present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.

At this time, R2NET will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.

Base pay $130,000 - $150,000. Final pay rate shall be determined and is based on experience and qualifications.
