RN Director of Hospice Admissions

Are you an RN who receives fulfillment from leading, educating and providing comfort to Hospice patients and their families on hospice care?

Our client, a well-respected, independent hospice care organization in the Hudson Valley, is looking to hire its first-ever Director of Admissions. In this hands-on leadership role, you will lead the team and shape the messaging during the admissions process for hospice, palliative, and comfort care patients. Core responsibilities for this role include:

• Provide supervision, support and guidance for a team of 5-7 Admissions Registered Nurses
• Promotes interdepartmental engagement through effective communication with the Referral Center, Liaison and Provider Relations teams
• Participates in the recruitment, hiring, development, support, retention and evaluation of assigned team members
• In partnership with the Director of Education and Training, ensures adequate orientation and training for all new staff in assigned area
• Provides excellent in-home patient care to assigned patient load (approx 30-50% of time)

Base salary for this position is $115,000 - $120,000

Requirements

• Active RN license in the State of NY (or ability to transfer license to NY)
• 4+ years RN experience, with at least one year in hospice or palliative care
• BSN or MSN preferred but not required
• Prior leadership experience (Manager, Lead, Charge, etc)
