Full Job Description

The Retail Marketing Manager role at Blue Nile will lead our clientele engagement strategy in our local markets to maximize revenue and deliver our commitment to excellence in our showroom experience. They will oversee local marketing efforts, establish automations to support our sales consultants, and partner closely with our performance marketing team to drive traffic and incremental revenue. This role will work closely with our Customer Excellence, Product, Analytics, Design, and Performance Marketing teams.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop strategy and execute retail marketing and client engagement initiatives including product launches, point-of-purchase merchandising solutions, digital marketing/advertising, promotions, loyalty programs and other in-store activations
  • Forecast and manage annual budgets for direct marketing and store events for showrooms and facilitate all invoicing 
  • Manage regional retail marketing calendar and liaise with marketing team to prepare all new store opening outreach, activities, event request proposals and recaps 
  • Manage contact with and develop relationship with Mall Marketing teams 
  • Develop regional strategy and manage client gifting budgets
  • Curate client lists for engagement opportunities with retail partners
  • Track and communicate showroom marketing spend and budget reconciliation
  • Identify new opportunities and execute marketing activities to help drive awareness and velocities for our local showrooms
  • Analyze data and maintain knowledge of trends and developments in the market to identify needs for new opportunities and make recommendations accordingly
  • Work closely with performance marketing, product, design, customer service, store managers, retail team and sale consultants to create and lead integrated marketing plans that are effective and maximize ROI
  • Assist with the creation of presentations for external and internal meetings
  • Collaborate with Public Relations team to promote new store efforts
  • Assist in senior leadership/trade show event planning
  • Conduct market research to identify customer trends, competitor offerings and demographic data
  • Maintain positive and collaborative relationships with cross functional teams (i.e. design, marketing, merchandise, product, sale consultants)
  • Interpret data, analyze results, and develop reports and/or dashboards for stakeholders
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with a major in Business Administration, Communications or Marketing
  • 4+ years of experience in Retail Marketing including the development and management of marketing campaigns and promotions
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are critical attributes
  • Highly organized with exceptional project management skills and ability to drive alignment between key stakeholders
  • Understanding of analytical or database software, particularly CRM or business intelligence systems preferred 
  • Strategic thinker who can drive adoption and growth goals, and improve performance metrics (conversion, engagement, retention, renewal/upsell, and reactivation)
  • Bias towards action, ability to be scrappy, and execution skills to make it all count
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint 
  • Experience with performance tracking and reporting
  • Obsessed with being consumer first
  • Quick to learn and adapt to overcome challenges
  • Enjoys working in an environment with a lively, engaged, and passionate team culture

Travel:

  • Ability to travel 4-6x per year

Benefits

The salary range for this job is $81,100 - $110,000. Base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills & experience, among other factors. Regular positions are eligible for discretionary bonus. Blue Nile offers medical, vision, dental coverage and 401(k) employer match amongst other benefits for eligible positions.
