In conjunction with the Director of Brain Health & Longevity, Neurologists and Nurse Practitioners, the RN will partner to help monitor a patient’s overall health and develop an individualized plan of care for their patients. Each RN functions as a case manager and works collaboratively with the clinical team.
Specifically, you will:
- Partner with Atria Brain Health & Longevity clinicians to provide exceptional care of our members
- Place IV catheters and administer infusions for headache medicine program, stem cell services, and other neurological conditions as needed.
- Perform phlebotomy and work with MAs for specimen processing
- Assist MDs/ACPs in procedures
- Follow-up with members after visits with the team to assess response to medication adjustments or changes in care plan.
- Liaise Imaging visits, complete screening form, place IV catheter if necessary
- Neurological Data Collection -NIH toolbox, olfaction evaluation, Neurocatch (Brain Vitals), Speech analysis, King-Devick eye movement analysis, vision, hearing.
- Follow up with outside specialist referrals, obtaining consult notes and recommendations
- Follow up on requested medical records
- Develop and maintain good communications and working relationships with the Brain Health team & other clinical teams
- Participate in team meetings, offering insights for data efficiency
- Assist the clinical team with data procurement, processing, and storing
- Liaise with care coordination team members as it relates to Brain Health program visits
- Flexibility to assist with related nursing duties as needed at the Institute and occasional home visits
- Flexibility to perform administrative and clerical tasks as needed including prior authorizations
- Maintain and properly document medical records for members
- Identify appropriate candidates for Atria Clinical Trials
- Assist in research protocols and consenting
- Salary range: $120,000 - $140,000
Requirements
Requirements
- Current NYS Registered Nursing License
- 2+ years’ experience as a practicing RN with regular experience in phlebotomy and IV placement
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Thrives in a fast-paced, growing environment
