Full Job Description

We are currently seeking a full-time Recruiting & Onboarding Specialist to join our Human Resources Department. The Recruiting & Onboarding Specialist will work closely with the recruiting team and our Program Management and Power Systems Divisions to identify potential candidates to fill positions within the organization.

The Recruiting & Onboarding Specialist is responsible for sourcing, screening, and selecting qualified candidates for technical roles for designated divisions. You will have a deep understanding of the requirements for these roles and will be responsible for creating job advertisements, reviewing resumes, and contacting potential candidates to determine their fit. Additionally, you will work closely with regional HR Business Partners (HRBPs) to support regional recruiting efforts and collaborate with Division Directors and our Clients to identify and prioritize recruitment needs.

You will also be the main point of contact for onboarding new hires in the designated divisions. Working alongside HRBPs, you will ensure a seamless onboarding experience for new employees, starting from the moment they accept the offer until their first day on the job.

This position is hybrid and is based out of our Rochester, NY office. The expectation is that the Recruiting & Onboarding Specialist will work in the office 3 days per week at a minimum.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Recruiting:
    • Write and post job vacancies
    • Source candidates
    • Review applications
    • Schedule Interviews
    • Interfaces with Clients, managers and recruiting personnel on a regular basis
    • Attend recruiting meetings
    • Career Fair coordination with regional HRBPs
  • Onboarding:
    • Send new hire paperwork
    • process new hire background checks
    • Review onboarding paperwork and verify I-9 identification
    • Enter new hires into ADP Workforce Now
    • Provide guidance and support to hiring managers on departmental onboarding.
    • Assist with new hire immigration matters
  • Miscellaneous:
    • Process background check renewals for staff that work for external clients as applicable.
    • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Management, or other relevant degree
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of HR practices and employment laws and regulations
  • 2 - 5 years of experience involving recruiting and onboarding
  • Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems
  • Solid knowledge of sourcing techniques
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Salary Range: $55,000 - $70,000 per year

The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.
