Full Job Description
We are currently seeking an experienced Project Designer in our Poughkeepsie, NY office. This demanding and fast paced position will require a personable candidate with experience in client service, experience in all phases of architecture and engineering including substantial and varied experience in project planning and design. Coordinates all trades and agencies related to building design while monitoring drawings. Prior experience working for an Architectural/Engineering Consultant or construction related firm is required. The candidate should have extremely strong interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and modify architectural documents, elevations, sections, details, etc. as directed by others utilizing Building Information Modeling (BIM)
- Incorporate Integrated Sustainable Design solutions into projects
- Assist in developing project scope, plan, and services and during the contract process. Translates planning concepts into comprehensible terms for clients, designers, and project team members
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of clients’ program requirements and standards and policies for completion
- Prepare 2D and 3D presentation/design drawings
- Perform product research; assist Project Designers and Project Architects with materials selection and system research
- Work with limited supervision but excellent mentorship
Requirements
- Bachelors/Master’s degree in Architecture.
- 2-5 years of Architecture Experience
- Must be proficient in Revit
- Ability to work as a part of a team.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal
- Have a positive attitude – someone who enjoys good work and is fun to work with
- Ability to work as a part of a team.

Salary Range: $25 - $35/hr.
The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.
