Full Job Description

I am looking for a top notch product support engineer to join our security product engineering team.

Goal: Have someone in the security engineering team that can front support and customers. Security products are technically complex and we find that our product managers and top notch engineers end up doing support even for problems that don't require code changes.


What we need:

 

  • a seasoned engineer that can be customer facing, front support and with exceptional communication skills. Exceptional communication skills are a must - I don't want to come in and save the day because this individual said something stupid like "it's working as designed" or "it can't be fixed".
  • Background in software development - must have done coding at some point. This is important - because one needs to be able to dive into code and have good debugging skills
  • Experience with one or more security products - phishing defense, AV, EDR, MDR is a must.


Why would a seasoned engineer take on this role? Sometimes folks are done with coding and software development - and enjoy the customer interaction and the ability to solve problems in the field. This expands their horizon faster and they can traverse engineering and customer support and build a career towards leadership in either.
