Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated, self-starter to launch the procurement and contracts management functions within Atria’s Legal Department. You will work directly with the business’s clinical, operations, and IT teams, serving as lead counsel on strategic deals, managing vendor relationships, providing ongoing legal counsel, resolving issues that arise in commercial relationships, and handling a wide variety of commercial contracts. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in drafting and negotiating healthcare-related procurement contracts, managing the procurement and post-procurement processes, and general commercial contracting.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Procurement:
    • Manage procurement process for services and equipment, including vendor sourcing and contract drafting and negotiation
    • Partner with business teams on vendor management
    • Advise on and manage vendor and contract disputes
    • Draft company-wide procurement policies and processes
  • Contracts Management:
    • Oversee Atria’s third party contracts management system
    • Review, draft, and negotiate commercial contracts
    • Develop contract templates
  • Compliance:
    • Provide general support to business teams on data security, data privacy, and related compliance requirements
    • Assist with compliance and data security certifications
    • Review and draft compliance policies and procedures

Salary: $150,000 - $175,000

Qualifications:

  • JD with 3-5 years of experience in a healthcare environment
  • Progressively increasing responsibility for procurement contracts and vendor management 
  • Qualified to practice as in-house counsel in NY
  • HIPAA/HITRUST compliance experience a plus
