Full Job Description

Position Overview

Primary responsibilities will include the investment and monitoring of client accounts.

The ideal candidate is process-oriented, attentive to details, and able to act upon deadlines. They will also demonstrate a team-oriented attitude and be able to communicate and work effectively with multiple stakeholders, including: clients, custodians, management, and other departments. The candidate will share a desire to provide outstanding service to clients, which will be accomplished in this role through the effective implementation of the firm’s investment strategy.

Core Responsibilities

  • Determining appropriate trades for client portfolios according to client investment objectives, firm investment strategy, and portfolio manager instructions
  • Ongoing monitoring of client portfolios to ensure compliance with each client’s stated investment objectives
  • Executing trades with third party brokers
  • Facilitating post-trade allocation and processing support with brokers and custodians
  • Assisting in investment research projects, including investment fund due diligence as well as economic and capital markets topics
  • Working in a team environment and providing consultation to advisors and senior investment professionals in formulating appropriate responses to client requests
  • Other duties may also be assigned

Requirements

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or Statistics preferred. Please include GPA in resume.
  • 3+ years of experience in the financial services industry preferred
  • Series 65 license or attainment upon employment is required
  • Willingness to obtain the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation

Knowledge and Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in business applications, such as Microsoft Office suite, specifically with respect to financial, statistical, and reference functions
  • Understanding of investment concepts and taxation

  • Responsiveness to feedback and effective time management, prioritization of tasks, and overall organization
  • Strong written and verbal skills, including the ability to prepare materials clearly and effectively for senior level audiences
  • Strategic thinker that possesses excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
