Position Overview
Primary responsibilities will include the investment and monitoring of client accounts.
The ideal candidate is process-oriented, attentive to details, and able to act upon deadlines. They will also demonstrate a team-oriented attitude and be able to communicate and work effectively with multiple stakeholders, including: clients, custodians, management, and other departments. The candidate will share a desire to provide outstanding service to clients, which will be accomplished in this role through the effective implementation of the firm’s investment strategy.
Core Responsibilities
- Determining appropriate trades for client portfolios according to client investment objectives, firm investment strategy, and portfolio manager instructions
- Ongoing monitoring of client portfolios to ensure compliance with each client’s stated investment objectives
- Executing trades with third party brokers
- Facilitating post-trade allocation and processing support with brokers and custodians
- Assisting in investment research projects, including investment fund due diligence as well as economic and capital markets topics
- Working in a team environment and providing consultation to advisors and senior investment professionals in formulating appropriate responses to client requests
- Other duties may also be assigned
Requirements
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or Statistics preferred. Please include GPA in resume.
- 3+ years of experience in the financial services industry preferred
- Series 65 license or attainment upon employment is required
- Willingness to obtain the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation
Knowledge and Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in business applications, such as Microsoft Office suite, specifically with respect to financial, statistical, and reference functions
- Understanding of investment concepts and taxation
