Gadge USA was established in 1993. Our company is a national packaging supply and supply-chain solutions company with an expansive distribution network. We manage packaging portfolios across multiple categories, combined with a scalable service model, which delivers packaging solutions and continuous improvement to our customers.
We are currently recruiting a Planning & Purchasing Specialist reporting to our Senior Director, Supply Chain. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently processing purchase orders and ensuring timely delivery of our products. Additionally, you will contribute to the forecasting and planning process to optimize inventory levels and meet customer demand. This is a critical position that requires acute attention to detail, strong analytical abilities, and a proactive approach to inventory management.
What You Will Do:
- Purchasing
- Process purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner
- Ensure appropriate approvals and documentation are in place prior to processing orders
- Coordinate with vendors to resolve any discrepancies
- Collaborate with Senior Specialists and Managers to identify areas of prices and cost improvement
- Maintain vendor price list data files and systems
- Planning
- Review Warehouse inventory reports and customer demand to forecast optimal production to ensure alignment with forecasted demand and avoid shortages or excess inventory.
- Work closely with the Customer Experience team to adjust forecasts based on changes in customer demand or supply constraints.
- Analyze usage trends to identify opportunities to improve purchasing quantities to maximize profitability and/or minimize surplus inventory
Requirements
Must-Haves:
- Bachelor’s degree or 1-2 years of relevant work experience
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Experience in purchase order management, or related administrative roles.
- Prior work experience using procurement systems, ERP software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Possess technical skills in Microsoft Excel, including but not limited to data analysis, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, conditional formatting, and complex formula creation.
- Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and analysis.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines and effectively manage multiple priorities.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
- Knowledge of inventory management principles and forecasting techniques.
- Ability to adapt to changing business needs and work in a fast-paced environment
Nice-to-Haves:
- Additional education in business administration or supply chain management is a plus
- Knowledge of supply chain principles, inventory management, and transportation logistics.
- Familiarity with purchase order management systems.
- Prior experience with managing item pricing.
- Knowledge of Sage 100 ERP system.

This role will be based in our office located at 3000 Marcus Avenue, Suite 3E03, Lake Success, NY 11042.
The salary range for this role is up to $60,000 commensurate with the candidate's experience.
