Full Job Description
The Payment Integrity Specialist is responsible for a variety of duties related to posting payments and reconciling deposits with the Professional’s internal billing system. The qualified candidate will be a high energy, positive person ready to work in a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment.
- Post all monies received from patient and insurance carriers into Raintree EMR system ensuring account is balanced.
- Balances the credit card batch report for daily transactions by cross-referencing the credit card terminal and Raintree system.
- Ensures all monies received in assigned manual batch are posted in Raintree, reconciles using Daily Ledger report in Raintree.
- Ensures EFT deposits assigned are posted in Raintree under appropriate remit station and deposit date, uses SQL BAI Tool to reconcile variances.
- Responsible for reviewing unapplied payments from assigned grid and submitting refund requests. Analyzes reasons for unapplied payments and actions taken to rectify the account, inputs data in unapplied payment grid assigned.
- Track’s monies received from the collection agency, posts appropriate collection agency adjustments, and notifies the appropriate team for updated balance.
- Review’s payment research inquiries assigned by Patient’s Account department, research payments said to be deposited by payor using bank deposit records and SQL BAI Tool. Communicate with Patient’s Accounts department on payment status.
- Reviews electronic remittance advice payment stations within Raintree to verify if payments are posted correctly, notifies team lead of errors as needed.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
$21-$23 per hour, based on experience.
Requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) is required.
- Must be organized, detail-oriented and able to think logically.
- Must be able to work flexible hours.
- 3 – 5 years of experience in the medical field.
- Basic math skills are required.
