Marmalade Content Creator (Contract, Remote)

Marmalade is a new way to search the internet's best brands. We’re building a community of shoppers, brand founders, and tastemakers around the excitement of discovering and recommending products from small, mission-driven, digitally native, & founder-led brands.

We’re bringing on an in-house content creator to help us produce engaging video content on TikTok and Instagram that will expand our reach and grow our community. As a creator for Marmalade, you’ll represent our brand and help us tell our story in compelling ways that grow the account's engagement.

We’re specifically looking for creators with experience creating greenscreen videos (speaking to the camera), ideally for a shopping service or app. 

How we envision working together:

• We’ll start with some training and ideation sessions to get on the same page for content direction, Marmalade’s voice and brand identity, and how you’ll bring it to life
• You’ll pitch ideas for new video content weekly, staying on top of trends and cultural moments
• You’ll record and edit videos for IG Reels and/or TikTok, owning execution from start to finish. We’ll start with a batch of 12 videos with the option to extend—we’re looking for a longer-term partnership with the right person!

Requirements

Who you are:

• You are highly creative and are constantly bringing new ideas to the table; you have strong instincts for what will perform on social media and are quick to respond to trends.
• You have an interest and instinct in shopping and retail, and feel comfortable creating a narrative around fashion trends. 
• You are excited to work with a fast-paced, growing startup! This means being able to pivot quickly, problem-solve, and accept feedback—changing direction when needed to improve performance as we learn what’s working together. 
• You bring a sense of authenticity, personality, and humor to your videos to make audiences connect with you
• You’re a strong collaborator and a clear, proactive communicator

Your experience:

• You have experience creating videos on behalf of shopping/discovery services and apps, working within their brand guidelines while bringing your own personality and authenticity to your content
• You have created greenscreen-style videos and are very comfortable speaking to the camera, with an ability to strike a balance in your videos between on-camera, greenscreen, and audio overlay content.
• You have experience growing an account with viral and engaging content (TikTok or IG)
