Role Description

The role of a Maitre D' at Happier Grocery is pivotal in ensuring a smooth and enjoyable shopping experience for guests.

The ideal candidate will quickly be able to adapt to the brand, values, and culture of the company, evoking passion and excitement for the process in all involved, while providing an upbeat and positive client and team experience. Because we are a small team, we all wear many hats and are happy to roll up our sleeves and lend a hand whenever needed. Can-do attitudes and respectful inclusive outlooks are greatly valued and expected of all team members.

Role Responsibilities

  • Greet guests as they arrive, assist them with their shopping and introduce them to all of the services available at Happier Grocery.
  • Provide guests with exceptional first impressions of the store.
  • Assist with e-commerce orders and personal shopping.
  • Oversee the front of the store, ensuring that all merchandise and displays are perfect.
  • Address guest concerns or complaints promptly and professionally to maintain guest satisfaction.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the products in the store and assist with the development of product knowledge materials.
  • Recommend specials, promotions, and additional services to enhance the guest experience.
  • Discover new and exciting ways to give over-the-top hospitality to our guests.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry, preferably in fine dining, upscale restaurant establishments or luxury retail.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to provide excellent customer service, especially in high-pressure situations.
  • Maintain a clean and manicured appearance.
  • Quick thinking skills and the capability to resolve issues swiftly and effectively.
  • Willingness to work weekends and holidays.

The hourly range for this position is $22.00- $25.00/ hr. The determination of what a specific employee in this job classification is paid within the range depends on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, prior employment history/job-related knowledge, qualifications and skills, etc.
