Seal & Design, Inc. is a family owned company founded and located in Clarence, NY with three divisions located across the U.S. and Canada. Our product line includes gaskets, o-rings, seals, molded products, die-cut foams, and many other specific products for all kinds of sealing applications. We provide superior products to our customers across many industries, including: Automotive, Medical, Military, Aerospace, Electronics, Power Generation, Hydraulics, and HVAC.
PURPOSE: Maintains and repairs production and facility equipment, buildings and grounds
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Arrives to work on time, as scheduled, and follows the company attendance policy.
- Troubleshoots, repairs, installs and performs maintenance on all plant and facility equipment
- Inspects, troubleshoots, and repairs electrical control systems wiring
- Performs preventative maintenance on all production and facility equipment/machine.
- Uses hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring and testing instruments to work on electrical panels, motors, pneumatic/hydraulic components, conveyors, and manufacturing equipment.
- Constructs and fabricates parts using hand tools and specifications
- Supports pre-planned work in sister facilities as needed - Rochester and Syracuse
- Responds promptly to all maintenance task requests through email system
- Updates and maintains preventative maintenance logs on a computer
- Maintains shop and housekeeping supply inventory
- Maintains cleanliness and repair of outside grounds
- Other maintenance or production related projects and assignments, as needed, which may include snow and production waste removal duties
- Observes safety and security procedures
Requirements
- Associates Degree (AA) in a technical field, or one to three years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency working in a computer supported environment with Microsoft office programs
- Valid NYS Driver License and ability to drive a motor vehicle.
- Demonstrated experience working safely with power tools and equipment such as saws and drills.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain, troubleshoot and repair electric, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as blueprints, operating manuals/ instructions, and electrical schematics.
- Basic math skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
Pay: $28-30/hour
