Locum Cardiovascular Surgery Physician Assistant

The Locum Cardiovascular Surgery Physician Assistant (PA) is a highly skilled and experienced medical professional who provides patient care under the supervision of a cardiovascular surgeon. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cardiovascular surgery and be able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the cardiovascular surgeon in all aspects of patient care, including:
• Preoperative evaluation and preparation
• Intraoperative assistance
• Postoperative care and management
• Perform physical examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop and implement treatment plans
• Educate patients and their families about cardiovascular surgery and postoperative care
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
• Document patient care in the medical record
• Stay up-to-date on the latest advances in cardiovascular surgery

Qualifications:

• Physician Assistant (PA) license in the state of practice
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a PA in cardiovascular surgery
• Strong knowledge of cardiovascular surgery and the latest medical advances
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
