Live Stream Video Instructor (Teaching Artist) - Part Time

Urban Stream Media is searching for talented and passionate Teaching Artists to join our innovative team! Position: Live Stream Video Instructor (Teaching Artist) – Part Time

As a Teaching Artist, you’ll play a key role in helping young people develop critical thinking, civic engagement, and storytelling skills through media.

Responsibilities:

Implement and deliver engaging live-streaming curricula, focusing on live stream and video production, content development, graphic design, and audio editing for diverse student groups.

Introduce students to professional equipment such as live stream tech, encoders, cameras, lighting, sound gear, and video/graphic tools (e.g., Adobe, DaVinci Resolve).

Innovate with current live stream platforms (Ecamm Live, Streamyard, Vimeo, Restream, etc) to create a dynamic learning environment.

Foster a sense of community in your classes by promoting diversity, inclusion, and collaboration.

Adapt lesson plans to meet the needs and interests of students from varied backgrounds and skill levels.

What We’re Looking For:

Location: Must be based in NYC.

Experience: Minimum of 3+ years facilitating media production (specifically live streaming) education in public school settings.

Skills: Strong classroom management, experience with multimedia production, and proficiency in live stream production, video/audio editing.

Software Proficiency: Experience with Ecamm Live, Streamyard, Vimeo, Restream, Adobe, DaVinci Resolve, and other multimedia tools.

Bonus Points: Curriculum development experience, community engagement strategies, or advanced multimedia content creation skills.

Pay and Hours:

Pay Rate: $40 - $70 per hour, based on experience.

Hours: 5-10 hours per week, with additional compensation for prep time, events, and school performances.
