Litigation Associate

Direct Counsel has partnered with a premier, nationally recognized law firm in their search for a 3rd to 5th year Litigation Associate to join their Commercial Litigation group in New York City. This position will provide an opportunity for greatly accelerated professional development, working directly with the senior members of the group, and require a desire to do the work necessary to capture that opportunity.

The ideal candidates exhibit a passion for courtroom litigation, reflected by a broad body of work in the various stages of litigation and meaningful responsibility. Qualified candidates will have experience conducting discovery, drafting pleadings and motions, witness preparation, and taking / defending depositions.

Requirements

Additional Qualifications:

• Law firm and federal clerkship experience is required
• Trial experience
• Plaintiff side litigation experience is a plus
• Candidates should be enterprising and tenacious, with a primary desire to become a first-chair courtroom lawyer and a willingness to do the work necessary to achieve that goal. Qualifications and experience demonstrating such interest, desire, and ability are paramount considerations.
